Amazon has agreed to a partnership with the owners of Bally Sports that may keep the service alive. It was previously thought that Bally Sports might fold by approximately November of this year, raising serious questions about who, if anyone, might televise the 2024 state championship games. Although I am not a fan of Bally Sports overall (for many reasons), I do think they do a good job of televising those games. And as a uber football fan I have for many years enjoyed the ability to watch EVERY SC game. This apparent deal with Amazon will therefore be very good news for anyone with similar levels of football mania. It also probably means it may no longer be necessary to have a cable or satellite provider that has Bally Sports in order to watch the games, as Bally Sports will probably also be available as an add-on feature of Amazon prime.
