Still an impressive performance against a heavily favored opponent (maxprep ranking of 129 versus 16).

Cruel reality. As old as sports have existed. All referees are not created equally. Some competent, some not, and some make poor judgement calls at the worst possible time. They should have at least gathered a consensus. The question will now be made of what chapter are these guys from and do they have a favorite. There are no good answers. The game should have gone into overtime.
