I think you have to nominate Lauren Parker as one of the most decorated softball players from Port Neches.

2007 (JUNIOR): Parker battled a recurring left shoulder injury throughout the second half of the season but fought through it to finish with a .310 batting average with nine home runs, eight doubles and 38 RBI ... started 37 games while appearing in 48 ... has 11 multiple-RBI games and eight multiple-hit games in limited action ... stole 12 bases in 14 attempts ... posted a .612 slugging percentage and a .362 on-base percentage ... started 27 games at second base over the first half of the season and then made 10 starts at designated player during postseason play ... batted .304 in SEC play with two home runs and 15 RBI ... ESPN.com Preseason First-Team All-American ... 2007 (SOPHOMORE): Parker's career quickly flourished after her arrival in Tuscaloosa for the 2007 campaign ... a first-team Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-American and a first-team Easton Bell Sports All-American ... garnered NFCA First-Team All-South honors ... a first-team All-SEC performer ... one of 25 finalist for the USA Softball National Player of the Year ... led the team in batting average >(457), on-base percentage (.509) and slugging percentage (.761), was second in doubles (11), third in hits (63) and fourth in home runs (9) ... led the SEC in on-base percentage, was second in batting average and slugging percentage and was among the top 10 in runs scored and sacrifice flies ... had a hit in 37-of-55 games played and tallied 21 multi-hit games ... drove in more than two runs in 14 games ... was 3 for 4 and recorded her first home run at Alabama against Texas-San Antonio on Feb. 10 ... earned SEC Player of the Week honors on Feb. 26 after hitting .643 with nine hits, six runs scored, six RBI, three doubles a homer and two steals in the Crimson Classic Tournament en route to MVP honors ... was 2 for 3 with a home run and four RBI vs. Seton Hall on March 3 ... named to the Easton Spring Fling All-Tournament team ... went 2 for 4 on March 11 vs. Mississippi State with two RBI and a stolen base ... hit safely in 4-of-6 at bats with three runs scored and four RBI in two games against Arkansas on March 21 ... tore through LSU pitching in a three-game series in Baton Rouge on March 24-25, hitting .636 (7 for 11) with a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored ... in five games that week against Arkansas and LSU, Parker posted a .647 batting average (11 for 17) with two home runs and four RBI ... went 4 of 4 with three runs scored, three RBI and two doubles against Georgia on April 1 ... was 7 for 10 vs. the Bulldogs with four RBI, three doubles and four runs scored ... tallied seven hits and scored four runs in the Ole Miss series on April 21-22 ... was 1 for 1 with a run scored off the bench on May 19 vs. California in the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional ... did not start in any of the Tide's postseason games, missing the final nine starts of the season with a shoulder injury that required surgery following the season.

2006 (FRESHMAN) at Baylor: Parker started in 30 games at shortstop for the Baylor Bears ... hit .266 (21-of-79) with 11 runs scored, eight doubles and 10 RBI ... went 1-for-4 with two RBI in first collegiate game against Wichita State on Feb. 11 ... was 2 for 4 with two runs scored and a RBI vs. Illinois on Feb. 11 ... had two five-game hitting streaks during her freshman season.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Parker played three seasons at Port Neches-Groves High School before lettering her finals high school campaign at Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School in Beaumont, Texas ... Kelly captured the 2005 Texas TAPPS 5A State Championship ... named to the Port Arthur Dream Team (2004-05) ... earned TAPPS All-State Selection (2004-05), TAPPS All-District (2005) and TAPPS All-Tournament (2005) honors as a senior ... led team with .511 batting average as a senior and .470 batting average as a junior ... District 20-4A Defensive Player of the Year (2004) ... Beaumont Enterprise Super Gold Team (2004) ... Texas Sports Writers Association All-State Honorable Mention (2004) ...
